THE PROJECT

Mas Oller is a historic estate in L'Empordà, with a long winemaking tradition dating back to the Greeks in 600 B.C. After years of neglect, the Esteva family, owners since the 1970s, decides to revive the estate in the year 2000. They reconstruct the 17th-century farmhouse and establish a winery in the old cowshed. Carlos Esteva, also the owner of Can Ráfols dels Caus, replants vines in what was once a prominent wine estate, aiming to produce quality wines while respecting tradition but innovating in techniques. After years of work, Mas Oller becomes a benchmark winery in the Empordà Designation of Origin, with wines that reflect the uniqueness
of the terroir.

“The authentic quality of a wine is manifested in the differentiated effect it evokes. Exceptional wines have something that goes far beyond what we are able to perceive with our eyes, nose and palate. You have to fight for the invisible.”
